Dar Al Sukoon is a minimalist multi-family residential landmark designed by WHITE Design Solutions in 2024. Translated as the 'House of Peace,' the project blends structural permanence with spatial fluidity in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The building features an innovative double-skin facade constructed from exposed concrete hollow blocks, which optimizes thermal performance to keep interiors up to 3.5°C cooler and enhances cross-ventilation by 25%. Premium PVC wood laminates and handcrafted terrazzo details offset the raw cement textures, creating a soft, tactile interface for the occupants. Curated sightlines and precise architectural proportions define the transitional spatial layout, offering serene views while maintaining privacy. Lead interior designer Raisa Chowdhury notes, 'In Dar Al Sukoon, we aimed to craft a spatial sanctuary where minimalist geometry frames quiet human introspection, using the raw physics of form and light to establish a permanent sense of calm.'
